GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER
We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first visit to New Life Chapel a great one! Below is some information that people commonly like to know before visiting a church for the first time.
SUNDAY MORNINGS AT NEW LIFE CHAPEL
New Life Chapel meets every Sunday at 914 N. Texas Ave. Our Kids Building is located next door to our Main Building and is only seperated by an asphault walkway on the south side of the building.
-Free Coffee & Donuts: Served in our Hospitality Area(north foyer) from 9:30-9:55 am
-New Life Kids: Starts at 10:00 am in our Kids Building, check-in begins as early as 9:45 am
-Worship Service: Starts at 10:00 am in our auditorium
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
A common service at New Life Chapel is exciting, casual, and relaxed. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest! A common worship service here is 90 minutes long, and is relevant and impactful. The service begins with praise and worship led by our worship team. During this time lyrics will be displayed on our screen but there's no pressure for you to sing along or to worship any particular way. You're free to engage and express yourself in worhip however you feel comfortable. After our time of praise and worship, you'll hear a message from our Lead Pastor, Ralph Emerson. Pastor Ralph is a great communicator and has a way of breaking down the text of the Bible and Biblical principles into terms that are easy to understand and apply to your everday life.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
You'll find people in a wide range of apparel on a Sunday morning; from casual attire to "Sunday's best". We say, wear whatever makes you comfortable! We know that God is much more concerned with the person’s heart than their clothes anyway.
WHAT'S AVAILABLE FOR MY CHILDREN?
New Life Kids is available during each worship experience so you can enjoy a great service knowing your child is being loved and nurtured by our amazing volunteers. Kids programs are available for Newborns - 5th graders. Our goal is for your child to have a blast while they learn about God on an age-appropriate level. Another equally important goal of ours is your child's safety. For this reason we have a detailed check-in process and all of our volunteers undergo a background check.
Here's what to expect when visiting New Life Kids for the first time:
When you walk into our Kids Building, located next door to our main building, our Kids Check-In Volunteers will meet your family, check your child into our secure check-in system, and then one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room. We recommend allowing yourself at least 10 extra minutes on your first visit as it takes a little longer to check-in your child on their first visit.
Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information. This information will help us to keep you child as safe as possible while they're in our care.
- Parent/guardian name(s)
- Child's name
- Child's birthdate
- Parent's phone number
- Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child
WE WOULD LOVE TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS
